Well...
It's been 12 hours since the last update, and I'm happy and relieved to report WE'RE HOME! Done. Officially on the road to recovery! I've been waiting for this day for longer than you know. They sent us home with a big bag of hospital goodies, and plain old Tylenol for Riley. He's such a trooper, and WAY more tolerant to pain than me or Steve. He was taking a good dose of morphine yesterday, and today all he's had is 2 doses of tylenol. No codene...nothing. I really have no explanation for the 100% turn around in the past day other than a miracle and total answer to prayer. Thanks so much everyone. The surgery is over, but Riley's Journey with craniosynostosis isn't, so, there will be plenty of updates ahead. Our next endeavor: Researching the facts about Pfeiffer's syndrome and Saether Chotzen syndrome, figuring out which one Riley has and how it will effect his life .
For now... I need to get started on the 1 million 756 thousand kisses that I owe my two year old, Cameron!
Here's a picture I took on my phone on our way home!
Thanks for praying and for checkin' in!
Riley's Diagnosis
Riley James Faiai is my 2 year old son who was born with Craniosynostosis and probable Pfeiffer syndrome. When he was 5 months old, Riley had surgery to reconstruct his skull. This blog is the journal, story, and timeline that has helped me put Riley's Journey into words. Browse around the archives and feel free to contact me for more info or support! -Lauren (lfaiai@gmail.com)

Yes!!! So happy for your family to be together again! Still here for whatever you need. Love, The Phillipson's
Yay God . . . HE is still in the miracle business!!!! Riley looks so good and I'm sure his recovery will go a lot quicker being at home without nurses and doctors poking and prodding him every 15 minutes or so. Can we bring over a meal for you folks?
Hugs and kisses to Riley and Cameron (I bet you he's missed you and Steve soooooo much!)
Love y'all,
The Lacangan's
I'm so relieved your home. I think it's time for some yogurt and shake deliveries!
There is no place like home. Riley looks great. I'm so so glad this part of the journey is behind you. Praying you all get some much needed rest and peace over the next few days.
He looks wonderful!!! I am so happy you are home and that Riley will continue his recovery in a familiar environment. And I bet Cameron is just a little excited to be with you all again!! Much love, Aunt Nita
