Riley's Diagnosis

Riley James Faiai is my 2 year old son who was born with Craniosynostosis and probable Pfeiffer syndrome. When he was 5 months old, Riley had surgery to reconstruct his skull. This blog is the journal, story, and timeline that has helped me put Riley's Journey into words. Santa Monica Appointment Update 12.15.06

After our 2 hour 10 minute drive, we arrived at St. John's medical center for Riley's appointment. As soon as we entered the office, we were able to be seen by the surgeon, Dr. Kawamoto. He took some pictures of Riley's head, talked to us about the procedure, and told us that Riley is perfectly healthy and ready to go for the surgery! This is a HUGE answer to prayer! 2 days ago, we were wiping Riley's nose every 10 seconds. Today, he was totally dried up and healthy! PRAISE GOD!

The doctor seems to have great credentials. I'm glad everything is falling into place.

By the way he looked so cute last night at church.
