We're leaving for our post op appointment in about 20 minutes. We have to be at the hospital in L.A. by 10:30. Riley's head looks great. Like I said in my previous post, some stitches have already dissolved! There is one thing that we're going to ask the doctor today. A couple days ago, we found lump in Riley's leg. It's about the size of a big marble. It's in the tissue in his leg. We're hoping this mass is just scar tissue left over from the I.V. he had in his leg for a week. Of course, I've been scouring the internet to find out what this could be, and I found something called "fibrosarcoma" which is a tumor commonly found on the lower legs or arms of infants. Please pray that's not the case, and that we come back from L.A. with nothing but GREAT news!!
Thanks for checkin' in!
Riley's Diagnosis
Riley James Faiai is my 2 year old son who was born with Craniosynostosis and probable Pfeiffer syndrome. When he was 5 months old, Riley had surgery to reconstruct his skull. This blog is the journal, story, and timeline that has helped me put Riley's Journey into words.
