Riley's BAER test is tomorrow morning at 8:30AM.
As the surgery date approaches, it seems like life for the Faiai's is running FULL SPEED AHEAD! We still have so much to do, before his surgery, and it seems like the days are flying by.
Here's our biggest concern:
Riley has a slight cold. Nothing serious, no fever or trouble breathing, but he's definitely congested and has a cough. I talked to one of Riley's nurses today and told her about his cold, and she told me that if the doctor hears the "slightest sniffle" from Riley at his pre-op appointment next week, they WILL reschedule his surgery. We obviously don't want that to happen. We're taking every precaution possible and are pretty much quarantining Riley from the world. The only kid Riley has regular contact with is obviously his brother, Cameron...who...unfortunately has the stomach flu. Please pray that Cameron gets better and that Riley doesn't catch what his brother has!
Next appointments:
1. Pre-op appointment on Friday, December the 15th @ 2:00PM in Santa Monica with the surgeon.
2. Pre-op/Blood work on December 29th in West L.A.
3. Opthamologist Appointment (not yet scheduled)
Thanks for your support and for keeping updated!

Riley's Diagnosis
Riley James Faiai is my 2 year old son who was born with Craniosynostosis and probable Pfeiffer syndrome. When he was 5 months old, Riley had surgery to reconstruct his skull. This blog is the journal, story, and timeline that has helped me put Riley's Journey into words. Browse around the archives and feel free to contact me for more info or support! -Lauren (lfaiai@gmail.com)
